George W. Bush, President of the United States, accepting the Republican nomination in New York for a second term on September 2 of this year, stated that the American nation has "a calling from beyond the stars to stand for freedom...  I believe that America is called to lead the cause of freedom in a new century."

Bush has always made it clear that he needs no approval or permission from any international institution or foreign nation to defend America. A majority of Americans understands this position and support it.

"Bush was endorsed in a key note address of the convention by the US  Senator from Georgia, Zell Miller - a Democrat - who called John Kerry unfit to be President. Senator Miller had already stated that the radical left had taken over his party, and that he had not abandoned the Democratic Party, but that the party had abandoned him."

Alan Keyes, Republican candidate in Illinois for the Senate of the United States, explained to his friends the stakes in this election in the following way:

”I know you share my conviction of many years that America is in the midst of a moral crisis. But the fact is we are at a climatic moment of that crisis.

We are confronting attacks upon the moral foundations of our nation now that will determine the life or death of our country, our freedom, and our whole way of life.

Judicial and legislative decisions as to whether we can publicly invoke the name and authority of God will either uphold or destroy the doctrine on which we base all our rights, as individuals and as a people.

When the smoke clears in Congress and the courts, their actions defining -or redefining - marriage will either uphold or destroy the family, which is the preeminent and God-ordained institution of civilization.

My friend, this is not just rhetoric. I am kept awake at night with a vision of our people in conflict, our cities in flames, and our economy in ruins. You think it can't happen here, but we have already been given days of warning that it can and will - and if we fail in what is required of us, America will be lost.

The hour is come when we must again strive to be a people worthy of God's protection. A shadow is upon us and you and every person of moral conviction must decide.

Where is your heart? Where is your voice? Where is your conscience? If you believe, as our founders did, in God's providential purposes for us, America needs you now!

You see, I believe yours is a heart and a voice that - when combined with many others - by its faith and conviction can ignite the fires of truth needed to light this country away from an abyss of destruction toward that path that God still yearns for us…a path that offers hope to all humanity, that we can still live as He would have us to live in the light of His love, in the dignity of that freedom that He, Himself , marked out for us as the fruit of His creation of our humanity.

Unless you raise your voice now, the destruction of our Republic will all too soon be completed by the abuses of the courts, in their wholesale assault on God s the foundation of liberty, and by our failure to defend Him.

You must demand that our legislators take action now against rogue judges destroying the very ground of our claim of the people to equal rights and to participation in their own political affairs.

You must raise your voice by demanding that our free exercise of faith be unimpeded, and that marriage between one man and one woman - the building block of our society, its liberty, dignity, and morality - not be destroyed.

Our legislators are not hearing from enough good people. Although the erosion of the moral foundations of our freedom upsets many Americans, too few realize that the very survival of our nation hangs in the balance…..”

John Kerry, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, is embroiled in controversies regarding his military record in the Vietnam War.  Doubts about the legitimacy of his decorations are clouding his campaign. The 'Swift Boat Veterans for Truth', a group of 254 veterans, calls him a liar and accuse him of falsification of records. The group includes every officer who served in the chain of command over him and members of his own crew. 

Kerry brought the national discussion about his performance on himself by making his military service the central platform of his election campaign during the Convention of the Democratic Party by trying to prove that he has what it takes to be Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. The spokesman of the veterans, John O'Neill, who followed in the command of Kerry's boat after he had left Vietnam , published a book "Unfit to Command", which immediately hit the bestseller lists of Amazon.com and The New York Times.

What especially infuriated the veterans were Kerry's anti-war activities including his testimony before the US Senate after he had returned from Vietnam , in which he accused his fellow soldiers of ugly war crimes of all sorts. He said at that time that he also had committed crimes. Typical of the many reports, affidavits and interviews, I went through the report of veteran Don Bendell given in a newspaper interview:

"I was a green-beret officer who volunteered for duty in Vietnam and fought 1968/69 in a Special Forces A-team on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. We were the elite. We saw the most action. Everybody knows that. But we did not just kill. We built a church, a school, treated illness, passed soap, food and clothing, and had fun and loving interaction with the indigenous of Vietnam, just as our boys did in Normandy, Baghdad, Saigon and everywhere American soldiers ever served."

Addressing John Kelly he stated "My children and grandchildren could read your words and think those horrendous things about me, Mr. Kerry. You are a bald-faced, unprincipled liar and a disgrace and you dishonored me and all my fellow Vietnam veterans…Why is there not a single record anywhere of you ever reporting any incidents like this or having the perpetrators arrested? The answer is simple: you are a liar."

Another of the many testimonies is that of Forerunner Steve Gardner, who served on Kerry's PCF (Patrol Craft Fast). He quoted what Kerry had said for 35 years including on the Senate floor in Washington : "I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting in a gunboat in Cambodia . I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the president of the United States tell the American people I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia . I have the memory which is seared - seared - in me."

Gardener stated, "I spent more time on John Kerry's boat than any other crew member, John Kerry has not been honest. He has been deceitful. John Kerry claims he spent Christmas in Cambodia in 1968, and that is categorically a lie. Not in December, not in January, we were never in Cambodia on a secret mission, ever."

Former Navy Secretary John Leman said on August 27 of this year the following: "I have no idea where the Silver Star citation displayed on Kerry's campaign web site came from." The citation appears over Lehman's signature. "It is a total mystery to me. I never saw it. I never signed it. I never approved it. And the additional language it contains was not written by me." The original citation was changed twice, a highly unusual procedure, which invites speculation about possible improper manipulation.

Retired Rear Admiral William L. Sachs Jr. stated to columnist Rober Novak that Kerry's first Purple Heart did not result from enemy fire, as he claims, but was instead self-inflicted. He commanded another boat in the area at that time.

Instead of answering the individual charges made by a myriad of veterans, Kerry Launched a wholesale accusation against the president of having engineered a smear campaign against him. It is a pure speculation for public consumption but promoted with boiling hatred. I consider the constantly repeated demand Bush should publicly condemn the "smear campaign", for which he should take responsibility and apologize for, outrageous. It reminds me of the Nazis who hated anybody who had a different opinion and were in their way. They first told a lie. Then the lie became a fact, which could not be discussed anymore. And then they tried to impose their lie on to the entire nation. The comparison is not so far-fetched. When you realize that "Liberal" disguises the fact that they are socialists, then it becomes clear that they are American Socialists. That means for an American that the Democratic Party is a national socialist party.  
 
Two things are remarkable about bringing the past back to life. The issue is not dirt being thrown at a person about matters too long ago to be important. "Lets get on with the issues people are concerned with!" The issue is the character of those who want to lead. And if you don't have character and are a liar, perjurer, womanizer like Mr. Clinton, then it is more convenient to talk about issues. You can fool people especially if you have nothing to show with good sounding words and promises, like John Kelly does. I agree therefore with the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and think that he is unfit to command.

Looking at the events, the other thing that strikes me then and today is the impression that others were grooming Kerry for the task he now is fighting for, people who had the means to change official records. That would give substance to his boasting to his crew that one day he would be President of the United States . It looks as whether he tried to create a later platform for himself with facts and reports he manipulated and invented. His decorations on the one side and his anti-war stance on the other side would make him acceptable to about everybody - and he is known to be an expert in how to be on both sides of an issue. It seems that he now sticks to the original handbook given to him by others. But everybody involved underestimated the backlash from the veterans he stabbed in the back. They got entangled in their web of lies.

The German philosopher Karl Jaspers wrote in his analysis of lies, "…by lying the lie may reach a stage in which a person finally believes his own lies so that the distinction between truth and falsehood is lost… the individual is then trapped in his own world of lies…" (Entire quotation p. 16 of my book 'Moral Meltdown').  

Finally, Kerry is a member of the small student elitist secret society at Yale University , the Scull and Bones Society. This society, which rarely receives publicity and doesn't seek it, is said to be at the heart of the Council on Foreign Relations' steering America into a global socialist society run by the United Nations or by those who pull the strings at that superfluous organization. There is another presidential candidate who is member of the same secret society: The president of the United States , George W. Bush. Once being asked by a journalist about the Scull and Bones Society he answered: "It is so secret that you can't talk about it."

MICHAEL A. PEROUTKA, the presidential candidate of the Constitutional Party, summarized his program in the following Way:

Abolish the Federal Income Tax
Get the U.S. Out of the U.N.
And the U.N. out of the U.S.
Withdraw from NAFTA, GATT, WTO, IMF, and the World Bank
